I'm Anna

I write, I make theatre and I teach.

My first novel, Here Comes the Miracle, was published in 2021 by Weidenfeld & Nicolson and was nominated in 2022 for the Sunday Times Charlotte Aitkin Trust Young Writer of the Year Award. My second book, a memoir in essays titled, We All Come Home Alive, will come out this summer.

I've made theatre both for adults and children, working both as a playwright and deviser. My shows have been presented by (among others), Lincoln Center, Barbican, Southbank Centre, Young Vic Taking Part, Battersea Arts Centre and the Lowry. 
 
I teach writing, theatre and literature courses and workshops. I also coach other writers to perform their own work with confidence and presence.
